RCGC – About Us

Would you like to get your email at "YourName@RCGC.net"?

Well, now you can. Just follow the instructions below.

1. Email me at mmoyer@RCGC.net and let me know to put you in the system

You'll need to tell me what you want your password to be so that I can set it up.

As soon as I email you back you can set up your computers email as follows:

2. Open you computers email software.

3. Click on "Tools" on the top toolbar.

4. Scroll down and click on "Accounts".

5. Click "Add" new account and pick "Mail".

6. When it asks if you already have an email account click that you do. You don't need to sign up for any others.

7. Your "Incoming Mail Server" is a "POP3".

8. Your "Incoming Mail Server" is "rcgc.net".

9. Your "Outgoing Mail Server" is "mail.rcgc.net"

10. Your "Username" is the first letter of your first name and your last name (mmoyer).

11. Your "Password" is whatever you told me to make it - I hope you remembered.

12. Click on "Finish" or "Apply" what ever it asks for.

13. Now to make sure everything is working properly... you be back at step 4 above. Click on the account that you just set up, "rcgc.net".

14. Now click on "Connection"

15. You'll want to pick "Local Area Network" probably.

16. Now click "Apply", get all of the way out and try to send yourself an email at yourname@rcgc.net (mmoyer@rcgc.net). Again, your eddress is the first letter of your first name and your last name the @rcgc.net. If you send it and it doesn't work give me a call and I'll see if I can find the problem. You might try changing the "Outgoing Mail Server" to mail.yourISP.com. Mine is mail.choice.net.

You can get back to that by following the steps 2 - 4 and then pick the "rcgc.net" account and click on "Properties". Once you've done that you can change "Connections" for the "Outgoing Mail Server" to be whatever yours is - like mine is mail.choice.net.

Let me know if everything works out.
